Grand Canyon: Light and Shadow

As the clouds broke apart, the light had that special, almost tangible, quality that it gets sometimes when the air is just right. It reminded me of a photograph I have of the interior of Grand Central in the 40s or 50s, with light streaming like a physical force through the windows. Without the ceiling. Or the ticket windows. Or the many besuited men in hats. But otherwise it was just like that.
