Grand Canyon: Canyon Bottom From Lipan Point

This is the Colorado River and the bottom of the canyon viewed from Lipan Point, an the road east from Grand Canyon Village. I stopped at pretty much every overlook and lookout point along the way, like some kind of canyon addict. According to the description, the large, flat area of land in the bend of the river was home to a settlement of prehistoric native Americans. Quite a piece of real estate.
