Decided my visit to the Grand Canyon created an opportune opportunity to take my first ride in a helicopter. I discovered helicopters are interesting things; unlike planes, you have a strong sense in a helicopter that Man Was Not Meant to Fly. The moment when you pass over the edge of the Canyon, and go from having a few hundred feet of air beneath you to having about a mile of air beneath you is, well, breathtaking.
