I've not previously linked over to my Jupiter blog, which is all about broadband and technology. Borrowing content from there seems lazy and is not generally all that relevant. But I'm making an exception this morning because I'm inordinately proud of my reaction yesterday to AT&T and BellSouth's merger, "I wish I could quit you, Ma Bell."
It takes some kind of a weird mind to view a $67B communications deal through the lens of Brokeback Mountain. Some kind of a weird mind like mine.
The other quote I thought about using was "You know friend, this is a god damn bitch of an unsatisfactory situation." -- but it's much more obscure, and in my professional capacity such an extreme reaction to the merger might not be exactly appropriate.
